Brenda Brelje, RN, MSCN, has contributed to patient care services for the past 30 years at The Schapiro Center for Multiple Sclerosis in Minneapolis, MN where they follow approximately 2500 patients with MS. Her vast clinical experiences in managing various aspects of MS set her apart and include symptom management, psycho-social issues, patient education, and management of intrathecal baclofen pumps. Recently, her role has expanded to incorporate development and administration of clinic processes and supervision of clinical staff. Brenda’s experience also includes various degrees of involvement in MS related research studies. In addition, her devotion to the field of MS extends beyond the clinic setting. She contributes to educating both professionals and those affected by MS through presentations and publications. As a MS certified nurse, she is a member of the International Organization of MS Nurses (IOMSN), serves on the Clinical Advisory Council and Adult Day Task Force Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter, and is the co-leader of the Minnesota Affiliation of MS Nurses (MAMS). She is dedicated to serving in the MS community and providing quality care to people living with MS as she addresses the challenges they are facing and celebrates with them in small or grand lifetime moments.
