The Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology provides Rehabilitative Services at our Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Edina and Golden Valley offices. Our physical therapists and physical therapists’ assistants provide a full array of rehabilitation services at each location. Our physical therapists and physical therapists’ assistants are licensed through the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy, which requires on-going continuing education credits through approved rehabilitation coursework.
In addition to providing general physical therapy services, our therapists have advanced training and experience in the management of lumbar and cervical spine disorders, headaches, vertigo and balance disorders, joint and muscle problems, spasticity, wheelchair fitting and gait difficulties. We are trained in common therapy treatments, such as traditional modalities and general exercise instruction, as well as in advanced, specialized treatment approaches unique to our specialized patient population, such as vestibular rehabilitation, postural restoration, joint mobilization and myofascial release and other advanced manual therapy techniques. We commonly evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as degenerative disc and spine disorders, with or without nerve root entrapment, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, migraine and tension-type headaches, stroke, neuropathy, TMJ disorders and nerve and spinal cord injuries. Our offices are unique in today’s healthcare environment in that our therapists are located in the same office as their neurologist colleagues, which allows for frequent discussions related to patient prognosis, treatments and progression and enables superior rehabilitation outcomes.
